Traveling with Greenway Nature Tours Africa means a carefree journey with high level of personal attention. We organize everything from Uganda (East Africa) itself, from your first inquiry to the execution of your tour. We handle everything in-house. We do not work through intermediaries who do not know you, where you are just a “file.” Instead, you deal with a team that knows your trip, understands your preferences, and is involved in every step of the process.
The first contact
It all starts with your first message to us. We do not simply send standard travel proposals. We first take time to get to know you. Only then can we design a trip that truly fits you. All the tour packages you see on our website are fully customizable. They are a starting point, not a fixed plan. When you contact us, we take the time to discuss your wishes in detail.
We listen carefully, ask the right questions, and help you shape your ideas into a clear travel plan. We also make sure everything is explained properly, so you know exactly what to expect before we start planning your journey.
Your travel proposal
A few hours or a few days after our discussion, you will receive a detailed travel proposal from us. It includes all the key information about your tour. Once you have had time to review it, we often schedule a follow-up conversation. In this conversation, we go through the details together and adjust anything that needs refining. We repeat this process as needed until your itinerary feels exactly right for you.
Confirmation of your tour
Once you confirm your tour, we take care of everything. We handle all bookings, from accommodations to activities, and make sure every detail is in place. In the months before your trip, we stay in touch and keep you fully updated. We also send you all the practical information you need so you can travel well prepared. By the time you board your flight, everything is clear. No loose ends. No unanswered questions. Just a smooth start to your journey.
Your arrival
You will often spend your first night in Entebbe in Uganda, Kigali in Rwanda, or Arusha in Tanzania. In each of these locations, we work with carefully selected accommodations that offer airport pick-up and transfer you to your lodge or hotel at any time of day or night. This ensures a smooth arrival, so your journey starts in a relaxed and stress-free way.
Your tour guide
During your entire tour, you travel with a dedicated guide and the same vehicle. Your guide is both driver and expert. We do not send you out with just anyone. Our team consists of experienced and friendly guides who know the country very well. Each morning, your guide picks you up from your accommodation and the journey continues. You have time to get to know each other in a relaxed way before your luggage is packed and the next adventure begins.
We always match you with a guide who fits your interests. If you are especially interested in birds, for example, we can provide a specialist birding guide. Your guide is there to professionally support your journey and make everything run smoothly. In more flexible parts of the itinerary, you can decide together on timing and activities as you go.
Transportation during your tour
At Greenway Nature Tours, we mainly use Toyota Land Cruisers that are specially adapted for safari travel. We do not compromise on this, as safety and comfort are our top priorities. The vehicles offer plenty of legroom and extra space for taller travelers, along with comfortable seats and armrests. Large windows and a pop-up roof allow you to stand up during game drives and enjoy a full 360-degree view of the landscape and wildlife. This setup ensures you never miss a moment and can take the best possible photos along the way. The vehicles are also equipped with charging points and a small fridge, so you can always enjoy a cold drink during your journey.
En route
Even with a well-planned itinerary, the journey often brings more than you expect. There is always space for spontaneous stops and simple, unexpected moments along the way. You spend a lot of time together in the vehicle, which allows your guide to quickly understand your interests and adjust the experience as you go. This makes the journey more personal and flexible, not just a fixed route from one place to the next.
End of the tour
At the end of your tour, your guide will transfer you back to Entebbe, Kigali, or Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you may spend one more night there, continue with another journey, or fly home the same day. We make sure everything is planned smoothly, so your trip ends in a simple and stress-free way.
