What It’s Really Like to Book and Take a Trip with Greenway?
‘How does traveling with you actually work?’ We get that question often. The process is very simple. You don’t need to do much. We handle most of the planning for you. To give you a clear picture, we have outlined the steps we take to turn your dream into a detailed safari in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya or Tanzania.
1. A personal conversation
Putting together your dream trip all starts with a great conversation. We are based in Uganda (East Africa), so we will contact you via email, WhatsApp, or phone call to get acquainted. We will listen closely to you.
We want to know what your expectations are, what you have already discovered on your own, and what you would love to experience. And, of course, there is plenty of opportunity to ask us all your questions. As soon as we fully understand what you want, we will get to work on creating an initial travel proposal just for you.

2. We put your trip together
After our first conversation, we sit down at the drawing board. We put your trip together; we solve the puzzle. We pick activities that fit you, plan the route, and choose the best places to stay. We reach out to our contacts to check availability and immediately put everything on hold; so the travel proposal you receive is fully doable.
So, quite a lot of work goes into the front part of the tour planning, and we don’t charge anything for that. That is the reason why many travel companies, especially the large ones, avoid customization. Customization needs more work. But that is exactly what we love doing and enjoy doing the most.

3. You receive your travel proposal
You will receive a detailed itinerary proposal which you can go through at your own pace and leisure. Your trip is explained day by day in detail. You can see images of the activities and accommodations that we suggest.
This gives you a very clear and realistic picture of your trip and what to expect.
Nothing in the itinerary proposal is set in stone. We provide several alternatives so that you have choices: more luxury or less luxury, activity A or activity B.
A few days after reviewing the proposal, you can ask all your questions and give your feedback. This way, the travel proposal really becomes your own product. You are in the driver’s seat of your own journey, because in the end, you know best what you want.
4. The confirmation
If you are happy with the travel proposal and give your agreement, we will proceed right away. You will receive a confirmation email from us, along with some extra information about exactly what to expect. This includes practical details such as a deposit to confirm your trip, and a request for additional information about all travelers and any special wishes (dietary needs, allergies, or other preferences). Once the deposit is paid, we will immediately book all accommodations, activities, and permits for you.
5. We prepare you for your trip step by step
In the months and weeks before your trip, you will get occasional emails from us about different topics. We help you get ready for every part of your trip. Think about your visa application, healthcare, do’s and don’ts, and advice about what to bring and what is better to leave at home. We send this information in steps; at the right time when it makes sense and is useful. Shortly before your trip, we will contact you a few more times to go over important details. We will tell you who your tour guide will be and give their contact information (we work only with a small group of guides we know very well). We will also give all the information about your airport pick-up. This makes sure you board the plane fully prepared and without any questions.
6. The journey begins
As soon as you arrive, your tour guide takes over. They are your main point of contact, and you can ask any questions at any time. The tour guide knows everything about your trip, including any special requests or wishes. We share all the details we have agreed upon with them. During your trip, we will check in once more to see how you are doing.
Of course, you can always call or text us, though experience shows this is rarely needed. At the end of the trip, the tour guide will drop you off at any agreed place and we make sure you get safely to the airport. After your trip, we will contact you to hear about your experience. We think it is very important to know your thoughts – about the activities, the accommodations, and the tour guide. All feedback is welcome. This helps us improve and make every trip even better.
