Your Itinerary In Details
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at Nairobi International Airport (NBO), you will breathe in the unmistakable, warm air of East Africa for the first time. A representative of Greenway Nature Natures Africa will warmly welcome you at the airport. He will be waiting for you at the exit of the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name on it. He will then escort you to your hotel, where you can relax after your flight and prepare for your upcoming safari adventure.

Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park (travel time approx. 4 hours)
At around 7:30 am, our private driver guide shall pick you up from the hotel. The busy streets of Nairobi city gradually give way to the endless expanse of the savanna. With a bit of luck, you might spot your first wild animals on the way to Amboseli– an unforgettable moment. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will set out on your first game drive. Amboseli National Park is world-famous for its gigantic elephant herds. It is a truly awe-inspiring experience to see these gray giants majestically traversing the green, meltwater-fed swamps – all against the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa. Have your camera ready for lions, graceful giraffes, zebras, and bathing hippos. As the sun slowly sets, you will go back to your lodge. End this first day in the bush with a cool drink by the crackling campfire, under the endless African starry sky.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Today, you will enjoy game drives at your leisure, within the opening hours of Amboseli National Park. You will decide when and for how long you want to go on a game drive. Of course, you can also pack your lunch and enjoy it as a picnic in the game park.
A scenic highlight of the day is the legendary “Lookout Hill.” A short, approximately 10-minute walk takes you to this vantage point, which rewards you with breathtaking views: Before you stretches the entire park with its dense, hippo-inhabited swamps and dusty plains. Particulary in the early morning and late evening hours, Mountain Kilimanjaro often presents itself in all its splendor, clear of clouds.
In the evening, listen to the nocturnal calls of the wild from the terrace of your lodge and reflect on the day’s spectacular encounters.

Day 4: Amboseli – Lake Nakuru (travel time approx. 6.5 hours)
After a delicious breakfast at Amboseli Serena Lodge, you will depart Africa’s highest mountain. You journey today takes you through Africa’s Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru National Park. This varied drive. You get a wonderful sense of Kenya’s vastness. Your driver guide shall make leisurely stops en route, sharing fascinating stories about Kenya and the local culture. Enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch. In the afternoon, you will reach Lake Nakuru and embark directly on an extensive game drive.
Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the country’s best and most important protected areas for observing endangered white and black rhinos in their natural habitat. Lions and leopards also roam the lakeside forests. In the evening, a delicious dinner awaits you. Those who aren’t too tired after this exciting day can relax by the campfire and listen to the crackling flames.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park
Today’s focus is on viewing wildlife in Lake Nakuru National Park. One of the special highlights is driving up to “Baboon Cliff.” Here you can briefly leave the vehicle, feel the wind of the Great Rift Valley on your face, and capture the spectacular panoramic view over the shimmering Lake Nakuru. Often, you will be accompanied by inquisitive baboons, which gave the cliff its name. Another amazing highlight beyond the wildlife is the tranquil Makalia waterfalls, where, depending on the season, enormous volumes of water plunge into the depths. The open, acacia-lined plains of the park make spotting wildlife particularly easy: observe majestic Rothschild’s giraffes grazing through the treetops, always in the company of zebras and countless antelopes. After many new sightings, relax in the comfortable atmosphere of your camp.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara (travel time approx. 6 hours)
Enjoy one last morning game drive along Lake Nakuru shores before leaving after a hearty breakfast for the next highlight of your trip: the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. You will drive through the highlands of the proud Maasai People will perfectly prepare you for what lies ahead. You will arrive at your accommodation in time for a late lunch. After refreshing yourself, you will immerse yourself in the famous, gently rolling plains of the Masai Mara in the afternoon. After just a few kilometers, you will get know: the density of wildlife here is among the highest in the world. As the sun sinks below the horizon in a fiery red orb, you will return to camp. The evening is dedicated to sharing stories of the first lion, cheetah, or leopard sightings of the day.

Day 7 – 9: Masai Mara
The following few days are yours to explore the vastness of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Your driver guide and vehicle are at your disposal for game drives throughout the entire safari, within the park’s opening hours. Whether you wish to set off at sunrise or spend the whole day enjoying a picnic lunch in the bush, your driver will cater entirely to your wishes.
The Mara is one of the most unique regions on Earth, featuring breathtaking landscapes of unparalleled natural beauty. The national reserve is home to the highest concentration of savannah animals on the planet, from a wide variety of antelope species to giraffes, buffalo, elephants, and large populations of big cats.
One of the most breathtaking natural phenomena on Earth (depending on the time of year) is the Great Wildebeest Migration, when millions of wildebeest, accompanied by zebras migrate across the savannah in search of fresh grass, bravely crossing rivers guarded by crocodiles, following the eternal rhythm of the seasons. Nowhere else in Africa will you experience the raw power of nature so intensely. After spectacular days filled with awe-inspiring moments, you’ll enjoy some of the most beautiful and vibrant sunsets in the world, before the sounds of the nocturnal wilderness lull you to sleep.

Day 10: Masai Mara – Nairobi (travel time approx. 6 hours) – return flight home
Listen one last time to nature awakening before enjoying a leisurely breakfast and bidding farewell to the wilderness of Masai Mara National Reserve. In the late morning, you will leave the realm of lions and begin your journey back towards Nairobi. Along the way, you will stop at Cafe Ubuntu Life, where you can enjoy lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. You will arrive in the capital in the early evening. You will be transferred to the Nairobi International Airport in time for your flight home. With the red dust of Kenya on your shoes and a heart full of unforgettable memories, you’ll begin your journey back to home.
