The sights of Kenya & Tanzania

Kenya and Tanzania offer some of the most unforgettable safari experiences in Africa. You will see the Big Five and the world-famous Great Migration, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains. The landscapes are just as impressive, with endless savannas, rocky outcrops, baobab trees, acacia woodlands, freshwater lakes, and even semi-desert areas. There is also the dramatic Ngorongoro Crater, the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, warm local cultures, and welcoming people. Together, they create a rich and varied journey.

East Africa is one of the best places in the world for wildlife. The Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Masai Mara National Reserve are its most famous highlights. Beyond the Big Five and the migration, you may also see flamingos, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, cheetahs, kudus, and many other unique species. There is more than game drives. You can enjoy a balloon safari, where the silence from above gives you a completely new view of the land. You can also go on walking safaris, canoe trips, mountain biking, or boat rides.

To end your journey, you can relax on the beaches of Zanzibar or Pemba. White sand, clear water, and pure calm after the bush. This is Africa at its best. Wild, varied, and unforgettable.

Optimal travel arrangements

The best safari is not the one with the most stops. It is the one with the right balance. A well-planned itinerary gives you time to enjoy each moment. Especially when combining Kenya and Tanzania, it is important that your journey never feels rushed. A good safari needs space. Time to look. Time to listen. Time to simply be in nature. That is why we always suggest choosing your highlights carefully. This way, you enjoy more from every safari day instead of moving too fast from place to place. We are happy to help you design a route that fits your wishes and gives you the best possible safari experience.

surprising combinations

A trip to Tanzania can be perfectly combined with Kenya. If you want a more intense safari experience, Kenya is a natural choice to add. You can also choose to see only the highlights of both countries. It is easy to design a route that fits your time and interests. Our combination trips are flexible and can be adjusted to your wishes. You can spend more time in one park, mix different comfort levels, or even fly between the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. You can also extend your journey to Uganda for mountain gorilla trekking. We are happy to help you plan a trip that fits you perfectly.

Flexible Private Safari

A private safari gives you full freedom. You can start any day you like. You travel with your own English-speaking driver-guide and your own vehicle. You decide how your day goes. If you want to stay longer with lions, you can. If you want to move on, you simply do. It is all about your pace and your interests. You travel privately throughout the journey, without other travelers in the vehicle. This keeps the experience personal and flexible. For combination trips, we usually use a 4×4 vehicle with a retractable roof. When crossing borders, you simply change both vehicle and driver.

Border crossings

On the map, it looks easy to cross from the northern Serengeti into Kenya. It sits right next to the Masai Mara, and animals move freely between the two parks. But this border crossing is not allowed. If you travel by road, you have three main options. You can use the western crossing at Isebania near Lake Victoria. Or you can go through the eastern crossings at Namanga or Tarakea near Amboseli. Another option is the Taveta border, which connects Arusha in Tanzania with Tsavo West in Kenya. Each route is well established and used for safari travel.
