About Greenway Nature Tours Africa- Conscious safaris with attention and a deep knowledge of the wild

Greenway Nature Tours creates thoughtful safaris for travellers who want to experience Africa with genuine attention to nature, wildlife, local communities, ethics and their own pace.

We are not a conventional travel company. We listen, inspire, advise and help you shape a journey that suits you. We work with carefully selected local partners who share our approach to travel. On our private, tailor-made safaris, you travel with experienced local guides who know the local cultures as well the landscape and its wildlife. They share their knowledge of animal behaviour, nature, photography and the rhythm of the natural world. We take care of the details while you focus on the experience. From choosing the right route and accommodation to finding special experiences along the way, we help you make thoughtful choices and create a safari that feels personal, meaningful and truly yours.

Our mission

Greenway Nature Tours Africa helps conscious travellers and organisations see Africa differently — through safari, local knowledge and a deeper connection with nature. We want you to slow down and look closer. To notice wildlife, landscapes, local communities and the world around you. To travel with curiosity, respect and an open mind. We create private, tailor-made trips for individuals, teams and organisations. Every journey is built around meaningful experiences, local knowledge and responsible travel. We believe travel should help you understand a place, not just see it.

Our aim

We believe in a way of travelling where Africa isn’t ticked off a list, but experienced with genuine attention. Greenway Nature Tours Africa aims to be a trusted guide for meaningful safaris and nature experiences that deepen understanding, inspire curiosity and respect local expertise. We want care for wildlife, landscapes and communities to be a natural part of every journey.

What Guides Our Africa Safaris

A safari, for us, is not simply a route between famous parks and highlights. It is a way of seeing and experiencing Africa. That is why four ideas guide everything we do.

  • See More by Slowing Down: The value of a safari is not measured by how many animals you see or how many kilometres you travel. We encourage you to slow down, observe more closely and make space for a deeper connection with nature, wildlife, people and your own pace.
  • Travel with Purpose: A good journey starts with the right choices. We help you find the destinations, routes, accommodations, experiences and travel style that fit your interests, values and expectations. The result is a safari that has been thoughtfully created around you.
  • Learn to Look Closer: There is always more to see when you know what to look for. Tracks in the soil. A change in animal behaviour. The sound of birds in the distance. We share our knowledge and encourage you to become more curious about the natural world.
  • Travel as a Guest: We believe travel should be built on respect. For wildlife. For the land. And for the people who call these places home. We work with trusted local partners and value local knowledge, conservation and responsible travel. We want the communities you visit to be treated with respect and included in the story of their own home.

How Our Mission Takes Shape

Our mission is reflected in the choices we make every day. It shapes the trips we create, the people we work with, the way we approach wildlife and the space we leave for quiet moments, curiosity and wonder.

  • Attention: We slow down, observe and take the time to notice what is around us. A safari does not have to be packed with activities to be meaningful.
  • Field Knowledge: We draw on experience in guiding, wildlife behaviour, ecosystems, and seasons. This knowledge helps turn a safari into more than a journey between famous highlights.
  • Reciprocity: We work with carefully selected local partners and treat local knowledge, communities and stories with respect.
  • Ethics: The wellbeing of wildlife, people and the places we visit comes first. We do not support activities that exploit, harm or unnecessarily disturb animals.
  • Connection: For us, safari is not about simply consuming nature. It is about spending time in a living world and developing a deeper connection with wildlife, landscapes and the people who call these places home.
  • Stillness: We value time, space and smaller experiences. We would rather give you time to stop, watch and take it all in than rush from one highlight to the next.

Not a standard package, but a safari that fits

A good safari is about more than lodges, routes and famous parks. It is also about timing, pace, stillness, guide quality, comfort, ethics and expectations. That is why we look carefully at every journey:

  • Which landscape matches what you are looking for?
  • How much space does the route need to breathe?
  • Which local partners share our values?
  • Which experiences suit your interests and comfort?
  • What are you looking for? Wildlife, photography, nature, culture, deeper connection — or a blend of it all?
  • Where is there room not just to travel, but to slow down and take it all in?

Traveling as a guest

Greenway Nature Tours Africa works with carefully selected local partners across East Africa. We choose our partners based on local knowledge, reliability, guide quality, respect for nature and alignment with our values.

We believe travel should be reciprocal. Therefore, we don’t treat local communities as backdrop, but we approach them with respect, context and a genuine commitment to equality. We take the same approach to wildlife: with distance, patience and a real eye for behaviour.

We don’t support wildlife entertainment such as elephant rides, cub petting, walking with lions or any activity that exploits or disturbs animals. The wilderness is not a stage. It’s a living world, and we are temporary guests within it.

Want to find out which safari fits you?

A safari doesn’t begin with a route. It begins with a question: what do you actually want to experience? We would love to think with you about destination, pace, comfort, wildlife, and the shape of the journey that suits you best.
