The tour begins in Kigali, Rwanda, where you’ll visit the powerful Genocide Memorial and stay at the famous Hotel Rwanda. From there, you’ll travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. Next, you’ll visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll enjoy a boat safari past hippos and see many animals coming to drink water. Then, head to Kibale Forest for a walk through the Bigodi wetlands and an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure.

At Murchison Falls National Park, you’ll take another private boat safari, go on a game drive, and walk up to the spectacular waterfall. After the wild adventures, you’ll rest in Jinja, by the River Nile. Here, you can choose to go white-water rafting, take a quiet village walk, or just relax by the water. The journey ends with a city tour in Kampala, Uganda’s capital. You’ll visit cultural sites like the Buganda Kingdom, Uganda Museum, and Kasubi Tombs. On your final night, you’ll relax by Lake Victoria before flying out from Entebbe. Day 1

Welcome To The Land of a Thousands Hills, Rwanda

When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, your friendly guide will be there to welcome you with a warm smile. From the airport, you'll be taken to your first hotel in the center of Kigali city. Tonight, you’ll stay at the famous Hotel des Mille Collines, a beautiful semi-luxury hotel known from the powerful movie Hotel Rwanda. This historic place offers both comfort and a special connection to Rwanda’s past. In the evening, relax with a cool drink under the stars and enjoy a quiet night’s sleep after your long journey. Today, you’ll drive to Lake Mutanda, the most beautiful lakes in East Africa. Located in the far southwest of Uganda, at the foot of the Virunga Volcanoes that link Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo, this peaceful lake offers stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. In the afternoon, you can unwind while enjoying the scenery or take a canoe ride in a traditional wooden boat to explore the calm waters. Surrounded by rainforests that are home to the endangered mountain gorillas, Lake Mutanda is the perfect starting point for an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. Face To Face With Mountain Gorillas

This morning, you’ll travel to the incredible Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for the highlight of your trip—gorilla trekking. With a packed lunch from your lodge to enjoy during your break, you’ll venture into the dense mountain rainforest, home to nearly half of the world’s wild mountain gorillas. Bwindi is not only famous for its gorillas but also for its rich wildlife, including 120 species of mammals and over 350 kinds of birds. After this unforgettable experience, you’ll return to Mutanda Lake Resort to relax and enjoy the evening. Meals and accommodation are all included.

Day 4

Boat Trip On Lake Mutanda And Optional Activities

Since you are staying three nights at the beautiful Lake Mutanda, today is a great chance to enjoy the area at your own pace. You can go golden monkey tracking, take a nature walk, swim in the lake, or even climb a volcano if you're feeling adventurous. In the afternoon, everyone will head out on the lake for a relaxing sunset boat ride. If you want to be more active, you can try stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, or sailing in a small laser sailboat. For a more local experience, you can paddle a traditional dugout canoe.
After three wonderful days at Lake Mutanda, you’ll travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through scenic villages, crater lakes, and local markets. You’ll stay at Elephant Hab Lodge, a lovely place with a swimming pool on the park’s edge. The park is full of wildlife, including elephants, lions, hippos, leopards, and over 600 bird species. You can enjoy boat safaris on the Kazinga Channel and explore the lush Kyambura Gorge, home to wild chimpanzees. All meals and accommodation are included.

On To The Savannahs of Queen Elizabeth National Park

Boat Safari On Kazinga Channel And Drive To Kibale Forest

Today, you'll enjoy a private boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, one of the top highlights of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is rich with wildlife. From your private boat, you’ll get up close to large pods of hippos, giant crocodiles, buffaloes cooling off in the water, and many bird species. You might even witness elephants playfully spraying each other—a truly unforgettable sight. The private boat offers a more personal and flexible experience than the larger group boats. After the boat safari, you’ll continue your journey along scenic rural roads, passing local markets and crater lakes, before arriving at Kibale Forest. There, you'll settle in and relax at the beautiful Turaco Treetops Lodge.
Today is all about meeting the amazing chimpanzees that live in the beautiful Kibale rainforest. After enjoying lunch at your lodge, you can spend the afternoon exploring the Bigodi Swamp, a peaceful wetland known for its colorful tropical birds and different types of monkeys. If you prefer to relax, you can simply enjoy the view from your veranda or take a refreshing swim in the pool.

In Search of Our Closest Relatives, the Chimpanzees

Today, you’ll have time to enjoy the peaceful jungle and green surroundings of Kibale Forest. In the morning, take a gentle walk right from your lodge, Turaco Treetops, which sits next to the forest. On this easy walk through the rainforest and wetlands, you can see six kinds of monkeys, including the Black and White Colobus and Red-tailed Monkeys. You might also spot footprints of forest elephants and many colorful birds like the Giant Turaco and Kingfishers. The walk lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours and helps support the Chris Roberts Forest Foundation. In the afternoon, you can relax at your lodge or choose to go for a village in Bigodi Community.

On To Uganda's Most Wildlife-Rich Park, Murchsion Falls

Today, you’ll enjoy a beautiful travel day to Murchison Falls National Park. You’ll pass through tea fields near Fort Portal and several local villages before arriving at the park. In the afternoon, you’ll take an exciting walk to the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River crashes powerfully through a narrow gap, creating an amazing sight. You’ll see the falls up close and, if time allows, walk a little further to get a full view of this natural wonder. Before heading to your lodge, there will be a quick photo stop at the top of the falls. You’ll stay in comfort at the luxury Paraa Safari Lodge, with all meals included.
Today you’ll explore Murchison Falls National Park with a morning jeep safari to see elephants, giraffes, hippos, lions, and many birds on the savannah. After lunch and a swim, enjoy a private boat trip on the Nile, getting close to wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, and elephants as you sail to the base of the powerful Murchison Falls. You’ll stay comfortably at Paraa Safari Lodge with all meals included.

Another Day Enjoying Murchison Falls National Park

Today offers flexible options for more wildlife adventures in Murchison Falls National Park. You can join a morning jeep safari through the savannah near the Nile delta, a great time to spot hippos, elephants, and other animals. If you prefer, you can choose from optional boat safaris: a morning trip to the Lake Albert delta, rich in wildlife and rare birds like the Shoebill, or a relaxing sunset “sundowner” cruise with drinks and snacks. These optional trips can be arranged with your guide on the spot.
Your final stop is the peaceful town of Jinja, where you’ll relax at The Haven Eco River Lodge, set right on the Nile River. Here, you can enjoy the comfort of the lodge, spot birds and Nile monitors, and take in stunning views of the world’s longest river. Jinja, once a small fishing village, is now known as the source of the Nile and a favorite spot for travelers who love nature and adventure. All meals included.

Jinja is known as Uganda’s adventure capital, offering both thrilling and relaxing activities. From your lodge, you can choose exciting options like white-water rafting, tubing, canoeing, mountain biking, or quad biking. For a slower pace, enjoy a boat trip on the Nile, a horseback ride, a village walk, or simply relax at the lodge with stunning river views. All activities are optional and can be arranged with your guide or at the lodge.

Kampala City Tour

Your day begins with a peaceful breakfast overlooking the Nile before traveling to Kampala, the “City of Many Hills.” Here, you'll explore Uganda’s rich history at the Uganda Museum, experience the lively atmosphere of Nakasero Market, and discover the cultural heritage of the Buganda Kingdom with visits to the King’s Palace, the Royal Mile, and the tranquil Kabaka Lake. After enjoying a traditional meal from Uganda’s central region, you'll visit the sacred Kasubi Tombs, final resting place of Buganda kings. The day concludes with a return to Entebbe for a relaxing dinner by the scenic shores of Lake Victoria and an overnight stay at 2 Friends Beach Hotel.
