Many lodges use solar power and have electricity only at certain times, WIFI may be in the lounge only, and hot ‘bush showers’ may be available on request. These remote locations make mass tourism difficult, which adds to the cost—but also to the appeal. There can be extra costs, such as tips for guides and rangers or fees for optional activities. Most packages include accommodations, park fees, transport, a tour guide, and three meals a day. Drinks may also be included, depending on your package.
