After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Greenway Nature Tours representative will receive you and then get you transferred to your hotel of stay in the nearby Arusha city.
As you reach the hotel, complete the check-in formalities and then relax and unwind. Spend the day as you like it as remaining part of the first day of your Tanzania family vacation package is at leisure.

On the second day of your 8 Day Tanzania Family Vacation, an exciting local village tour awaits you.
After breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred in a comfortable safari vehicle to the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu. Duck beneath the huge leaves of banana trees as you explore the lush farmlands surrounding Mto wa Mbu. This village has attracted some 18,000 residents from 120 different tribes!
Take a guided village walk. Learn about local history, industry and cuisine from members of several Tanzanian tribes. Also visit a local market and observe how the villagers’ huts are made.
Then enjoy delicious lunch with a local family, tasting different types of banana and rice dishes harvested from nearby farms. After lunch, visit the workshops of village artisans who will explain influences and materials they use to make the items they sell in local markets.
You will also learn the techniques they use to create art from banana leaves—then it’s your turn to create some banana art of your own! Proceed to your lodge and settle into the lodge.
