In the early morning, your driver will pick you up from your hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala, providing a briefing before you begin your journey to Uganda’s largest and oldest national park, located in the northwestern part of Uganda.
On the way, you will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola, where efforts are underway to reintroduce rhinos to the wild in Uganda. Here you will go for a rhino trek around the sanctuary on foot. You will have a complete feel of the iconic Big 5 animals, as it is the rhinos, out of the Big Five that are missing in Murchison Falls National Park.
After the trek, enjoy lunch and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time and embark on an exciting road trip to Murchison Falls, arriving in the evening. After checking in at the lodge, your safari guide will lead you for the game drive in Murchison on the lookout for the like lions, hyenas, and leopards among others. Proceed back to the lodge for relaxation and a delightful dinner.

After an early morning tea or coffee to kickstart your day, you’ll set off on a game drive to the northern bank of Murchison Falls National Park. During the drive, you’ll search for a variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and antelopes, as well as numerous bird species.
Afterward, return to your lodge in time for lunch and a bit of relaxation, gearing up for an exciting afternoon. In the afternoon, you can embark on a scenic boat trip to the base of the Murchison Falls, where you’ll witness the power of the world’s strongest waterfall. For birding enthusiasts, there’s also the option to take an exclusive boat cruise downriver from Paraa towards the Nile River delta, which flows into Lake Albert. This area is home to the rare and prehistoric-looking shoebill stork, a must-see for avid birdwatchers.

After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll head to the top of Murchison Falls for a different perspective of the world’s most powerful waterfall, offering fantastic views and excellent photo opportunities. Once you’ve taken in the majesty of the falls, you’ll embark on a scenic drive south toward Kibale Forest National Park near Fort Portal, which will take around 5 hours. The journey includes both paved and unpaved roads, passing through traditional Ugandan villages where locals can be seen tending to their crops such as millet, sorghum, beans, and maize. The picturesque rolling hills of the region provide plenty of chances for beautiful photos.
Upon arrival in Fort Portal, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing the short drive to Kibale Forest, one of Africa’s premier rainforest reserves. Known for its rich diversity of primates and its exceptional birdlife, Kibale is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. After checking into your lodge, you can take a relaxing walk around the area or unwind after the long journey.

On day four of your 7 Days Wildlife Safari to Uganda, you’ll explore two of Uganda’s most captivating landscapes. The day begins with an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest, which boasts one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa. The park is home to over 1,500 wild chimpanzees, including a habituated community that is typically found 99% of the time during treks.
You’ll have the opportunity to spend an hour with these fascinating creatures, observing their behavior and learning about their lifestyle. After your chimpanzee trek, enjoy a packed picnic lunch in the forest before heading out on a guided tour of the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This community-run initiative focuses on conserving the unique biodiversity and environmental values of the wetlands. As you walk through the sanctuary, you’ll gain insight into the local efforts to protect this vital ecosystem. Your day concludes with a return to the lodge for some relaxation and a delectable dinner.

Start your day with a relaxed breakfast before embarking on a long but rewarding journey southwest to the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. On the way, enjoy a scenic game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you might spot tree-climbing lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas, and various species of antelopes. A delicious lunch will be served en route as you continue your adventure.

Have a hearty breakfast and head out for the unforgettable gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
You’ll begin your trek early with the help of a local tracker, although the gorillas’ movements will determine when and where they are found. Gorillas are peaceful and non-aggressive creatures, and observing them up close in their natural habitat is a truly thrilling and memorable experience. You may even have the chance to capture stunning photos of these majestic apes.
Once you’ve completed your life-changing gorilla encounter, return to the starting point for a packed picnic lunch before continuing your journey to Lake Bunyonyi, located about 90 minutes away. As you drive through the scenic Kigezi Highlands, you’ll arrive at the lake in the late afternoon.
Lake Bunyonyi, which means “place of many little birds,” is one of Africa’s deepest and most picturesque lakes. It’s a perfect place to unwind and enjoy various water activities, including swimming, canoeing, and boat cruises. This beautiful location serves as an ideal stop before concluding your safari, as it offers a peaceful retreat before heading back to Entebbe or Kampala the following day.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with stunning views of Lake Bunyonyi before beginning your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.
